2018 Para State Team Manager nominations

In 2018, Archery Victoria will be supporting Victorian athletes competing at the 2018 National Para & VI Championships.

To support our athletes, Archery Victoria wishes to appoint a Team Manager for the Championships to be held at Tuggeranong Archery Club in the ACT from 9 – 11 March 2018.

This position is a voluntary position and cannot be filled by someone who is competing at the Championships. They can, however, be filled by someone accompanying one of the archers to the event.

The Team Manager will be provided with access to funds to cover some of their expenses and to provide services to the archers.

Duty Statement – State Team Manager

This is an important position which requires commitment and people management skills. A strong knowledge of archery and, in particular, a knowledge of the requirements of Para and VI archery are highly desirable. The successful applicant will also be expected to work with Archery Victoria to organise pre-event activities to get our athletes ready for the championships.

Applications for this position must be made on the State Officer Nomination Form which is attached to this email. As the team may include youth archers, this form includes a commitment to Victoria Child Safe requirements.

Applicants for these positions should be aware that they will be required to attach the following documents to their application.

1. Working with Children Check (scanned copy of card). If you do not have a Working with Children Check you are required to apply for one, listing Archery Victoria and your Club as your volunteer organisations. Please attach a copy of your receipt if you have not yet received your card. You will not be considered for these positions if you do not have a Working with Children Check or if you fail to gain or maintain a Working with Children Check. Your Working with Children Check must be current throughout the period of the championships.

2. Certificate of Completion Australian Sports Commission “Community Coaching General Principles”. This is an online course which can be accessed at the following link:

It should take you about 2 hours to complete. Once you have completed the course you will be able to print off a Certificate of Completion. Please scan and send a copy of this certificate with your application.
