OzBow Come & Try program

A program that teaches you the basics of archery with emphasis on fun and safety.

You will undergo a brief introduction to the 10 basic steps of archery and then you will be on the line shooting a bow and arrow.

Most Come and Try courses cost around $20 to $25 and run for approximately 90 minutes, although this may vary between the clubs. Be aware that bookings are essential for all clubs.

If you are interested in continuing to learn archery then the Instructors can teach you how to make a string bow that you can then practice at home.

Interested in becoming a member of a club?

We recommend that you attend at least 3 OzBow Come’n’Try programs first and try out some of the different bow types.

In all cases we recommend you do not purchase any equipment until you have completed the OzBow Archery Instruction Program, have chosen the style you wish to use, have chosen the bow type you wish to shoot and have had an Instructor measure you up for the correct equipment.

To make a booking simply click on Clubs and then click on the suburb that is closest to you.

If you are interested in trying archery then please feel free to download the OzBow Come’n’Try Program Booklet. It will give you an overview of what you are going to learn.

To make a booking simply click on Clubs and then click on the suburb that is closest to you.

If you are interested in going to the next step about learning archery then please feel free to download the OzBow Archery Instruction Program Booklet. It will give you an overview of what you are going to learn.

In addition, you should download and print the OzBow Archery Instruction Program Checklist. Once you have printed it you should take it with you to each session. The Instructor will write useful tips in it for your future reference.
