National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers. At this uncertain time we feel that it is more important than ever to recognise and acknowledge Australia’s volunteers.
Volunteers are the very life blood of Archery. We would have no archery in Australia if we did not have teams of dedicated and loyal volunteers at all levels of our organisation. All Club Committee Members and Archery Victoria Board Members are volunteers. It is important that all those volunteers know that we appreciate them and their efforts for our organisations. They not only change our archery community but they change the lives of all of us.
The dates for National Volunteer Week 2020 are Monday 18 May – Sunday 24 May 2020 with the theme “Changing Communities. Changing Lives”.
Volunteering Australia have made the following suggestions for us all to acknowledge our volunteers in the new and changed world of ours.
Wave your appreciation for Volunteers
We invite you to put your hand up and thank all the volunteers around Australia by waving a special smile of appreciation from your own home. Upload your wave photo to social media and share using the hashtags #NVW2020 and #waveforvolunteers, and tag Volunteering Australia.
Online Certificate Of Appreciation
Looking for a virtual way to thank your volunteers? Through the Volunteering Australia website you can send a free online Certificate of Appreciation directly to your volunteer’s email.
You can also make up your own Certificates of Appreciation or you may have your own unique way of showing your appreciation for your volunteers.
Whatever way you choose to celebrate volunteers in the following week, Archery Victoria would like to be part of it. Please include us in what you are doing.
Many thanks
