2018 National Archery Championships wrap up

The 2018 National Archery Championships have now drawn to a close, with Archery Victoria members having excellent results across all disciplines.

We commend all competitors for their sterling efforts and congratulate all our medallists on their stellar achievements.

Our thanks also go out to the Twin City Archers Gippsland for their amazing work on preparing their grounds, coordinating their wonderful Ground Crew (who were a pleasure to work with for all), and on the day to day execution of all facets of the event’s operations … it was truly a well-oiled machine, and highlighted the benefits of holding consecutive annual events from an organisational perspective.

Now to the results …

Archery Victoria members took out a total of 84 Individual medals, along with Alec Potts taking out the Best Overall Male Recurve award.

These are broken down into 21 Target medals (11 Gold, 5 Silver, & 5 Bronze), 20 Field medals (8 Gold, 7 Silver, & 5 Bronze), 21 Short Range medals (8 Gold, 8 Silver, & 5 Bronze), and 22 Clout medals (10 Gold, 7 Silver, & 5 Bronze).

Congratulations to you all – every medallist, every competitor, every official, and every helper – this was truly an event to be proud of!

We are grateful to the Organisations below for their ongoing support of Archery in Victoria.
