Archery Victoria

Becoming a Coach

Coaching is an integral part of every archer learning the craft of Archer and it is vital that Coaches and coaching standards are attained and maintained at the highest level possible.

In Victoria, the AV Coaching Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of Coaches for the State, and organises all coaching courses and related administration on an as needs basis.

Currently, the AV Coaching Coordinator is Irene Norman, and enquiries relating to coaching can be made via phone or email (see Contact Us tab).

In January 2020, Archery Australia introduced a new Coach Accreditation Scheme and a new requirement for presenters and assessors of coaches to be accredited. Victoria is in the process of moving over to the new scheme. As such, some of our Coaches are still accredited under the old scheme and will change over to the new scheme as their accreditation comes up for renewal.

There is one more level of accreditation which is Level 1B which is designed for non-members of Archery Australia and Archery Victoria who operate come and try type activities associated with school camps, resorts, theme parks and similar. If you fall into this category, please get in touch with our Coaching Coordinator (see Contact Us tab) who can provide you with the information and pricing for this course as well as provider information.

For information on the criteria for becoming a Coach at each of these levels please contact the AV Coaching Coordinator (see Contact Us tab).

We are grateful to the Organisations below for their ongoing support of Archery in Victoria.
