Archery Victoria would like to invite all youth archers to apply for the Victorian Youth State Team, to contest the 2020 National Youth Archery Championships.
Below is a detailed explanation of the Team nomination process and requirements … please read the information carefully, and ensure you follow each step to be eligible.
Step 1.

Nominations can be made via the Archery Victoria State Team Management System – CLICK HERE
Step 2.
Enter 4 x Target Round Scores in either a 1440 round or a 720 round.
- All scores must be of RED Classification or higher when shot (They may degrade below red and still count).
- Scores must be shot at a QRE or Tournament.
- At least one of the ‘included’ scores must be shot at Registered Tournament.
- At least one RED score must shot at maximum distance in either a 1440 or double 720 round. NOTE: 144 arrows must be shot on that day.
- Target ratings degrade by two (2) rating points every 30.4 days.
- Where an archer shoots a round that is “above” their current age division, the score rating will be used.
- Average target score ratings are converted into scores that relate to the rounds for the age division that the archer will be shooting at the NYAC.
Step 3.
Enter 2 x 24 Target Marked Field Scores
- Both scores must be of RED Classification or higher when shot (They may degrade below red and still count)
- Scores must be shot at a QRE or Tournament.
- At least one of the ‘included’ scores must be shot at Registered Tournament.
- Field ratings degrade by two (2) rating points every 30.4 days.
- Where an archer shoots a round that is “above” their current age division, the score rating will be used.
- Average field score ratings are converted into scores that relate to the rounds for the age division that the archer will be shooting at the NYAC.
Step 4.
Enter 2 x Clout Scores
- Both scores must be of RED Classification or higher when shot (They may degrade below red and still count)
- Scores can be shot at Tournaments OR VQREs.
- Clout scores degrade by five (5) points every 30.4 days.
- Clout scores are used as raw scores only, whether an archer has shot in their current division or at a greater distance. There is no rating conversion of scores shot at longer distances.
- The average Clout score is converted into scores that relate to the rounds for the age division that the archer will be shooting at the NYAC.
*** Scores registered at the State Clout Championships on 23 February 2020 can be used for qualification purposes.***
NOTES
- Where an archer shoots a round that is “below” their current age division, the score rating will not be used. Clout scores shot at shorter distances are not used.
- All ranking scores are weighted to the events to be held at the NYAC in question. In 2020 this is not yet confirmed but is likely to be:
- 1 x 1440 for the archers division – based on average target rating.
- 1 x 720 for the archers division – based on average target rating
- 1 x Field Round for the archers division – based on average field rating.
- 1 x clout – based on average clout score
THE FINAL RANKING LIST IS CALCULATED USING A TOTAL OF THE FOUR SCORES DETAILED IN THE LIST ABOVE.
