Australia has had an exceptional run in the first stage of the 2023 Asia Cup held at Taoyuan, Taiwan, taking out 3 Bronze medals in the Mens Teams, the Ladies Teams, and the Mixed Teams.
Victorian archers featured in each team and demonstrated the strength of Victorian Recurve archery at present.
Congratulations to Laura Paeglis who teamed with Ryan Tyack to secure the Bronze Medal in the Mixed Recurve Teams event. A great performance in a very entertaining match winning in the shoot off!
More congratulations to Jai Crawley as part of the Mens Recurve Team that also secured a Bronze Medal, beating Bangladesh 6-2 in the Bronze Medal Final!
Lastly (but not leastly!) further congratulations to Madeline Boyle and Laura Paeglis again who made up 2/3 of the Womens Recurve team that took out the Bronze Medal against India in a most exciting Bronze Medal Final winning with the closest arrow in the drawn single arrow shoot off!
