Level 2 and Level 1 Coaching Courses Open for Nominations

Over the past few months, we’ve successfully delivered both a Level 2 Development Coach Course and a Level 1 Participation Coach Course. In addition, a number of coaches have renewed their accreditations for another three years. A heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for your commitment to supporting your clubs and upholding high standards across our archery community. Your work plays a vital role in welcoming new archers and helping athletes reach their potential.

📣 Nominations Now Open for Remaining 2025 Courses

 

We are now calling for nominations for the following courses scheduled for this year:

Course Schedule

  1. Level 1 Participation Coach Course
    📅 Saturday 2 August 2025 – Face to Face
    📍 Venue to be confirmed (likely Melbourne-based)
  2. Level 2 Development Coach Course
    📅 Thursday/Friday 11–12 & 17–18 September 2025
    🖥️ Online via Zoom | ⏰ 7:00–9:00pm each night
  3. Level 1 Participation Coach Course
    📅 Thursday/Friday 9–10 & 16–17 October 2025
    🖥️ Online via Zoom | ⏰ 7:00–10:00pm each night

 

🟢 Level 1 Participation Coach Course

 

✅ Eligibility:

Nominees must:

  • Be 16 years or older
  • Be an Archery Australia member for at least 12 months
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check
  • Have a reasonable understanding of archery technique
  • Have assisted with at least two Come and Try sessions at club level

 

🧠 About the Course:

 

This course equips coaches to safely and confidently deliver Come and Try sessions to the general public. It includes both theory and hands-on learning.

 

📝 Course Requirements:

 

Venue for the 2 August course will be confirmed based on participant locations.

 

🟠 Level 2 Development Coach Course

 

✅ Eligibility:

Nominees must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have held Level 1 accreditation for at least 12 months
  • Have actively supported at least two beginner/OzBow sessions in the past year
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check
  • Be competent archers with a strong understanding of technique

 

🧠 About the Course:

This course is for coaches ready to go beyond the basics—delivering beginner/OzBow courses and supporting archers progressing into competition. It builds on Level 1 knowledge with more advanced tools and techniques.

📅 Nomination Deadline: COB Sunday 7 July 2025 (Note:   Nominations for the online Level 2 and Level 1 courses will remain open until 4 weeks before these courses commence.)
