Becoming an Instructor

Instructor Courses

Community Come and Try Instructor

Designed to teach the skills and methods required to conduct The Come and Try programme. 

This course is aimed at schools, camps, and other community organisations who may wish to run an archery programme. 

You do not need to be an archer or a member of an archery club to complete this course.

This course consists of one and a half days of instruction (both theory and practical) including an open book exam. 

Participants are also required to undertake at least 5 hours of instruction and be deemed competent.

These courses are conducted on demand.

Archery Instructor

Designed to teach the finer details of the 10 basic steps of archery.  

This course is aimed at Archery Clubs who may wish to run their own Come and Try activities and archery beginner’s courses.  

You need to be a member of an archery club and Archery Australia to complete this course.

This is a two day course which is followed by an open book exam.

Participants are also required to undertake at least 5 hours of instruction and be deemed competent.

During 2014 it is expected that this course will be run approximately every two months.

***PLEASE NOTE***

To be able to sit either of the exams to become a Community Come and Try Instructor or an Archery Instructor you will need a current Working With Children Check.

Reaccreditation of Instructors  (all levels)

To be re-accredited as an Instructor you will need to complete the following document.
